About Us
We are Foursquare
South Gate Fellowship is part of a larger network of Foursquare Gospel Churches. Currently The Foursquare Church has more than 1,700 U.S. churches; globally, The Foursquare Church has more than 66,000 churches and meeting places in 140 countries and territories. We are interdenominational in embrace, transparent in character, Biblical in teaching and enthusiastically Pentecostal in worship and practice.
At South Gate Fellowship, as in all the churches in our denomination, our vision is to present Jesus Christ, God’s Son, to every person in every culture and nation as the Savior (Romans 10:9), the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:16), the Healer (1 Peter 2:24), and the soon-returning King (Acts 1:11). In today’s world there are so many options for those who are seeking a church family where our hearts can be nurtured, our lives protected, and our homes established in the grace of God. When you visit us at South Gate you will hear certain words regularly in our family communication like the following:
Safe
South Gate is a safe place for you to develop your gifts and grow in Christ. We don’t fear one another and so we can try our wings, move into the gifts of the Spirit, and share in ministry with others. It’s a safe place to be.
Transparent
We don’t try to be super spiritual at South Gate. You’ll see our humanity quickly because we believe transparency opens the door to deeper spiritual relationship. The honesty of God’s people in this house allows for change, development, and honest communication.
Growth
We believe in growing big people with big hearts and a great embrace. We don’t set numerical goals, nor do we engage in fund-raising programs. What God’s people give is what we use as the Lord directs. But, we are all about growing big lives which can love, pray, hope, and exhort others in the faith.
